2009
Killer Whales
| We
are looking forward to a great season! We
are looking forward to a great season! The
swim and dive team coaches are encouraging all new and returning MTLSC swimmers
and divers to join what promises to be a great 2009 season. All members of the
MTLSC are eligible to join, provided participants are 18 years or younger and
are able to swim one full length of the pool. The coaches will enforce this rule
for the safety of the children. We
have many fun team events planned for the swim and dive team from treat and donut
days to a pancake breakfast and pizza night. We will have a movie night for ages
10 and under and a late night swim for ages 11 and up. We look forward to having
you join us!
Parent
Participation Parent
participation is as important to a team as the swimmers themselves. Your help
is critical to the success and smooth operation of the meets and season. Many
parents work every meet, but each family will be asked to work at least 3 sessions
out of the 10 we have (each session is ½ of a meet). You will have a chance
to sign up for volunteer positions_____TBD_____at the team registration and suit
fitting, or on ____TBD_____at late registration. Most of the volunteer opportunities
require no experience, and training is "on the job." PLEASE REMEMBER:
IF YOU DO NOT HELP STAFF TEAM EVENTS, YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO SWIM!
If you are unable to come _________or if you don't have a chance to sign up, volunteer
positions will be assigned to you. Fees
and Swimsuits: In
order to offset the cost of running the team, there will be a $40.00 per swimmer/diver
charge (max. of $90.00 per family); there is only one fee regardless of whether
you are a swimmer, a diver, or both. This fee will be due at the team sign up
during the suit fitting on ______or at late registration on ________. You will
need a separate payment for the team fees (cash or check payable to Mt. Lookout
Swim Club) and for Kastaway swimwear (cash, check, or credit card)if you purchase
anything from them. The team will not change suit style this year, but your swimmer(s)
may need new sizes or other swim and dive items from Kastaway.
